A critical link in northern Saskatchewan's transportation network, this is the only road bridge for 100 km upstream (to Highway 12) and about 80 km downstream (to Highway 6). About 4 million vehicles a year cross this bridge, which opened in 1960 and has undergone extensive repairs since 2003.
