Historium (Bruges)

Belgium / West-Flandern / Brugge / Bruges / Markt, 1
museum, listed building / architectural heritage, 20th century construction

This ornate bluestone building from 1910-1914 was intended as a governor's residence but was never actually used as such. The neo-Gothic facade with double loggia reminds one of the Breadhouse (King's House) on the Brussels Grand Place.
For many years it was used by the Department roads and traffic.
But on November 25 2012 after the renovation it will reopens as Historium Bruges
