A visit to the past

A ride on the steam train from Goes through Kwadendamme to the scenic village of Hoedekenskerke will take you back to the past, the days of the railways of the thirties.

The steam train Goes-Borsele crosses the beautiful landscape of the province of Zeeland. Sitting on wooden benches in third class, or on the luxurious pluche in first or second clas, you will enjoy a relaxed train ride in a nostalgic atmosphere.

However, Stoomtrein Goes-Borsele offers more than just a train ride! In Goes we are developing an open air museum about the Dutch Railways of the thirties. The museum area is open on the scheduled days of the steam train.

Near the stops in Kwadendamme and Hoedekenskerke, you will find several attractions, such as a butterfly garden, a manufacture of original wooden shoes, a children`s train and an original village shop.
