Mountain known as: (Armeninan: Suqavet {Սուքավետ}, Jrabashkh {Ջրաբաշխ}, K'oshasar {Քոշասար}) (Turkish: {Kösedağ}) is a peak of 3430 m. altitude at the middle of Armenian Dance (Arm: Haykakan Par {Հայկական Պար}, Tur: {Aras Güney Dağları}) mountain range. That lays a little north from the midpart of Armenian Highland mountain system, inside of the borders of present-day Turkey. Believed that at late Middle Ages, some 19 Alan nobles met at the Armenian royal court with Christian preachers Voskyants and adopted Christianity influenced by them. By the name of their leader - Sukias, the new believers had changed their surnames to Sukiasyants and left to the Bagrevand area by settling on the mountain Dzhurabashkh that in honor of their leader was called Suqavet. Once upon a time at some high slope of the mountain (3284 meters above sea level) a monastery of Sukavet existed, and settlement around the monastery belived to be the highest settlment of the Armenian Highland. Alanic Gingian king sent an armed detachment to the mountain, and kill Sukiasyants clan. At the IV century Gregory the Illuminator's chapel erected on the site of their murder.
