The facility specializes in the Receipt and shipment of coal, steel, fertilizer (urea), and heavy metals. It has a berthing distance of 800 meters with direct barge access to the Ohio River, and has 120-car railcar capacity. The company specializes in bulk unit train offloading and loading from barge to rail, rail to barge, and rail to truck. Capabilities include handling of aggregates, coal, fertilizer, salt, scrap iron, steel coils, steel slabs, pig iron, and other bulk materials.

Truck-receiving hopper in open storage area serves 48- and 36-inch, electric belt-conveyor systems extending to four stacking towers served by a reclaiming tunnel, storage capacity 30,000 tons of coal. Additional open storage area at rear has capacity for 50,000 tons of coal. Reclaiming system serves truckloading hopper as well as barge loader. Up to sixteen barges in 4 tiers, each 4 barges wide can moor at wharf. Coal-reclaiming equipment includes: one 12-cubic-yard and two 10-cubic-yard front-end loaders; and one 15- and one 35-ton dozers
