Formerly owned by Charles Maretti and then taken over by his son-in-law, Clarence Minetti, after Maretti's death in 1947. Besides being a cattleman, Minetti also founded Guadalupe's Far Western Tavern with wife Rosalie and cousin Richard Maretti in 1958.

The annual Vaqueros de Los Ranchos trail ride was first held at Maretti's ranch, with Maretti acting as the group's first president.
