Former Justices Court Building which was designed c. 1907 by Stephen Francis Voorhees (of the firm of Voorhees, Gmelin & Walker). It is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places. The interior was used as a filming location for the Alfred Hitchcock film "“North by Northwest" (1959).

The Sterling Glen retirement home of Glen Cove donated the building in 2013. The Museum's mission is to preserve the history of the North Shore of Long Island through the stewardship of its collections and historic structure — the 1907 Justices Courthouse — to engage the public, and to interpret the history of the North Shore, in particular the area once known as the “Gold Coast”, through exhibitions, lectures, and programs.
