Schilling Garden was a private garden that was once part of the estate of Alfred Schilling. This parcel has a complicated history. The gardens have always been private and is current locked behind gates. It was sold to developers who are proposing to build a 42-story residential tower called Emerald Views which has caused controversy over what the best use of the site is and over the potential effects to the Lakeside neighborhood.
