Mihăileni Canyon (natural monument also known as “Râpa lui Brod” or Pârâul lui Brot), is a protected area of national interest (geological nature reserve), located in southern Transylvania, in Sibiu County, 1 kilometer south from the village and commune of Mihaileni.
The nature reserve (with an area of 0.60 ha) has been declared a protected area and represents a gorge (narrow valley) with steep slopes (composed of Pliocene sediments) with heights of up to 20-25 meters and a development of 0.60 km, created by erosion (washing, draining) of rocks. The reservation is located on the left bank of the Calvei Valley and is of geological and landscape interest.
