  • Yes, Mr. Paramdeep Singh, the tower is well designed and here is the latest position from the news. After being delayed by more than a year, the new Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower of the Delhi airport is now coming up fast. The under-contruction tower, which will be the tallest ATC tower in the country, is already taller than the Qutab Minar (72.5 metres). At 102 metres, the new ATC tower will be much taller than the monument and almost double the airport’s existing ATC tower. The tower was initially planned to be opened by mid-2012 but is now expected to be commissioned only by November 2013. This is coming up at a more centralised location at the airport, so that air traffic controllers can have a 360 degree view of all the three runways, aprons and taxiways.
