Ampang Impounding Reservoir

Malaysia / Selangor / Ampang Jaya /

Built in 1892, this is one of the earliest waterworks in Malaysia.

The earliest mention of "Impounding Reservoir at Ampang" can be traced to page 245 of THE SELANGOR JOURNAL: JOTTINGS PAST AND PRESENT VOL. II, printed in 1894.

This location is loosely known as Bukit Indah, as referred to by nature lovers. However, in its strictest sense, it is not Bukit Indah as the latter is the name of a housing estate located the same Ampang vicinity.
