This fenced area at Conrad Observatory is used to assess performance of infrasound detection technology. The tests benefit the global monitoring activities of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO). The site has four configurations of wind noise reduction filter, namely, two "rosettes" (arranged one inside the other on the northern half of the site) and two close-packed hexagonal arrays (nested concentrically on the southern half of the site).
