 store / shop, commercial building

5-story commercial building originally completed in the late 1800s, but substantially rebuilt several times, including in 1976, when it was given a new facade for a theme restaurant that occupied all five floors. The Jekyll & Hyde Club was owned by Eerie World Entertainment. The name and theme derived from Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson's 1886 Victorian gothic novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The building's facade features faux cracking, heiroglyphics, and columns of various nature, skulls, an obelisk, and near-life-sized figures rappelling down the wall. The club closed in March 2012.

The new facade was designed by Matt Markowitz, and completed in 2015. A frame of grey metal enclosed a glass curtain wall. The ground floor has glass doors at the center and metal service doors at the ends. The building housed the Lloyds International Gallery from 2015-2018, and is now occupied by Metropolitan Fine Arts & Antiques.
