Ancient city of Bost (AKA Bust) Winter capital of Ghaznavid dynasty, it is located to south of modern city of Lashkar Gah

A vast concentration of palatial residences and public buildings stretching along the banks of the Helmand between Bust and the modern town of Lashkargh for 6.5 kilometers. The remains include three palaces on a bluff overlooking the river, a Friday Mosque, a bazaar, a kilns with extensive local production, and many other buildings. The most important finds were many decorative elements from the main palace - frescoes, stuccos and inscriptions.
