This is one of the most important archaeological sites related to Indus valley civilization, which is now also termed as Indus-Saraswati Civilization. It has found artifacts related to various Harappan phases.

As per recent news in media Rakhigarhi is reported to be the largest settlement of Indus Valley Civilization. After initial discoveries it was among the first five largest sites. But work in last few months has revealed more spread of the site. Now the total area is found to be around 400 hectares, which has surpassed the 350 hectare spread of Mohen-jo-daro. Till now Mohen-jo-daro was being considered as the largest site.
This can change the assumptions and course about history.
