The ancestral property of the royal family of Jeypore, Odisha. Built by Raja Vikram Dev Varma, the Hawa Mahal was utilised as a transit home for the family when they came from Jeypore (through the forests) to Vizagapattam (old name of Visakhapatnam) to catch a train from the city.
The property is presently owned by Maharani Mayank Deo Varma, a renowned advocate of the city. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had stayed here on his visit to Vizagapattam.
