Part of the infamous Green Line that separates the internationally recognized Republic of Cyprus and the Turkish controlled north. The Turkish-controlled north was unilaterally declared as TRNC in 1983 and is not recognized as a legitimate political entity. The UN has declared this action as "legally invalid" calling for respect by all UN members for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Cyprus.

  • Well the Greeks should have voted for the Annan plan but instead rejected it because they want total rule to surpress the Turks rather than equality.
  • Not truth: Annan's plan was fradulent. All the refugees must have the right to return to their home grounds, and the 1974's status quo must be restaured.
