Crown Lodge was built in 1883 by the Crown - then Queen Victoria - as a Farmhouse for Crown Lodge Farm. This is now the home of Neil and Mary-Jane Hollingum. Neil is a Telecommunications Consultant, known throughout the world for his knowledge of State-of-the-Art Telecommunications and IPTV systems. His company, Bestneutral Ltd, also operates from this location. In the grounds of the house is a black barn which gave its name to the adjacent road known as Black Barn Road. Gedney Drove End is about 2.6 miles away.
