Established in 1956, the Buda Fire Department is a combination paid/volunteer fire department, providing service to a 72 square mile area of northeast Hays County, including the cities of Buda and Hays. In 2007, the department is staffed 24/7 and has about 25 volunteers and 9 career firefighters. Thanks firefighters for all you do!!!
