The Wabash Bridge was a railroad truss bridge across the Monongahela River. Constructed in 1902-04 by railroad magnate George J. Gould for his Wabash Pittsburgh Terminal Railway (later the Pittsburgh & West Virginia Railway), the bridge connected the north end of the Wabash Tunnel to the to the railroad's terminal complex in downtown Pittsburgh. The bridge was demolished in 1948, 2 years after fire destroyed the terminal. Two stone piers are the only remnants left in place; the steel from the superstructure was reused in the Dravosburg (Mansfield) Bridge 16 miles upriver.
