The first underwater park in the United States, estabished in 1963. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 14, 1972. In Fiscal Year 2004 the park had more than a million visitors, making it the most popular park in the Florida State Parks system.
The Christ statue underwater a half-mile offshore in 30 feet of water is a popular dive spot.

  • This is a really cool place to go snorkeling. On clear days you can swim out to where some cannons and anchors are out there. There's always lots of fish to see too, a little aquarium, and hiking trails. It's all coral rock beaches though, so bring sandals and flippers to save your feet from being cut up.
