Delduar Upazila (Tangail district) with an area of 184.54 sq is bounded by Tangail sadar and Basail upazilas, Nagarpur upazila on the south, Mirzapur upazila on the east, Nagarpur upazila and Tangail sadar upazilas on the west. Main rivers are Dhaleshwari, Lohajang and Elangjani.

The geographic coordinates of Delduar town are 24.158632N 89.9664003E degree. Delduar (Town) consists of three mouzas with an area of 10.08 sq km. It has a population of 11833; male 50.01%, female 49.99%. The literacy rate among the town people is 31.7%.

Delduar thana, now an upazila, was established in 1981. It consists of eight union parishads, 129 mouzas, 166 villages.
