Built for politician & WWI hero General Alexander Duncan McRae, this stately mansion is believed to be home to as many as seven ghosts. During World War II the McRaes sold Hycroft to the federal government for $1 to be used as a 130-bed veteran’s hospital (Shaughnessy Military Hospital), more recently its been used by Vancouver's film and television production industry as a filming location and the French Olympic Team also used the building during the 2010 Winter Olympics.
