  My father (Leslie King) was stationed at Arkonam in the 1950's. He was the District Controller of Stores with the S.I.R. Memories of going to the engine sheds during my school holidays bode well with me, I also remember a Cyclone going through Arkonam causing devastation everywhere. Although I never lived there (I was at boarding school)I remember the area of Arkonam.
