This was originally the Agere Systems world HQ and R7D center. Agere was the successor of the old AT&T's semiconductor manufacturing division. Called the "Green Emerald" when it was built during the .com boom, Agere's fortunes soon plummeted and they were sold to LSI in 2006.

On April 2, 2007, LSI completed it's merger with Agere Corporation, and rebranded the company from LSI Logic Corporation to LSI Corporation.

LSI was in turn acquired by Broadcom and the building was put up for sale, eventually being leased by the local St. Lukes hospital chain to house administrative staff.
