Also known as the war zone, one of the lowest income areas of Albuquerque with a large immigrant population and higher levels of crime. City is trying to clean up area.

  • This my 'hood and I am not proud of it!
  • I lived here all my life and yeah I have fought my way through here. Gotten into too much trouble and not just at night. Avoid if you can.
  • There are actually some really nice blocks, streets, and houses in this area. There are also a lot of low rent apartments. I think it's unfairly disparaged. Yes it's a poorer area, but that doesn't mean the people who live there are any less human or worthwhile.
  • There are a few very nice blocks in the area... it is not the War Zone.
  • That area isn't even really the war zone
