largest source of Geothermal power in the World and still growing. A large percentage of regional waste-water is pumped underground here to generate still more steam.

Crude tubs along Big Sulfer Creek were used for bathing by local farmers to over 100 years ago. In the early 1960's, I was one of the last people to use the warm swimming pool at the old Spa here.

Volcanos were last active some 5,000,000 years ago. Epithermal deposits of Gold, Silver, and Mercury were formed in the area.

If you want to experience a little earthquake, stick around little ones happen daily.

  • If you desire to feel an earthquake move to Anderson Springs or one of the other little resort areas on the north east side of the Geysers field and wait a day or three.
