Crude tubs along Big Sulfer Creek were used for bathing by local farmers to over 100 years ago. In the early 1960's, I was one of the last people to use the warm swimming pool at the old Spa here.
Volcanos were last active some 5,000,000 years ago. Epithermal deposits of Gold, Silver, and Mercury were formed in the area.
