The Teliza was one of the earliest of the "Baker model" buildings in Trivandrum. It belonged to late Mr.Jacob, a Chief Engineer with PWD. The building is mentioned in several books on architecture and used to be frequented by students of architecture from various parts of India.
Once Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis (ex-wife of President Kennedy and of the Greek Billionnaire Aristotle Onasis and then working as a book editor) came to visit this building. Mrs. Jacob, who was staying at Teliza at that time took Jacqueline as one of the frequenting student visitors and did not bother to open the door. The next day's Malayala Manorama carried a news item with a photograph of Jacqueline standing outside the Teliza, denied entry.
After Mrs. Jacob moved to Cochin, Teliza remained vacant till it received its first and last tenant ever - VMA consultants Pvt Ltd. VMA occupied this building till Nov 2005.
In the first quarter of 2006, Teliza was demolished, bringing down with it a page in the history of architecture.

An apartment complex is now coming up where Teliza stood.

One of the prestigious projects of SFS Builders(Skyline Foundations & Structures Pvt. Ltd.) viz. SFS Fairway is coming up in this place. Construction of these super luxury flats would be complete by March 2009.
