Leased from the Stringfellow Acid Pits landowner from 1965 until 1980 for the manufacture and testing of explosive devices. Military munitions were produced or demilitarized at this location and may present an explosive hazard. UPC was cited by the California Department of Toxic Substances Control for illegally dumping barium nitrates, phosphates and borates in a pond on the site and later cleaned up.
