Moeciu Moeciu belongs to the bottom, Brasov county.
Located just 10 km from Bran Castle, Moeciu, will meet with the charm of mountain villages.
As tourist attractions, Moeciu rocks are distinguished by Gradistei keys and the bio-geological reserve "At Chisatoare", but most of the tourists come to Moeciu, because it is the village with the best access to Bucegi Plateau.

Early History of Moeciu village is shrouded in mystery due to lack of documentary evidence dating from before the eighteenth century. Local historians place at the border village of former principalities of Wallachia and Transylvania. Conflicts frequently and there is a land of "anyone" legally demarcated border between, on a mountain ridge and the border police on the road that passes through the mountains into the valley below could have prevented peasants to move to the area centuries before the fifteenth century and the sixteenth century, when both principalities became vassals of the Ottoman Empire. If this theory is correct, small farms could occur in the current Moeciu at least 600 years ago.
