Run by the Zenana Movement of the Methodist Church in India, this school offers the play-way method of primary education. Situated in the BKN (Balar Kalvi Nilayam) Campus that is more than a 120 years old, Anita School, had Miss. Johnson, Miss. Rose Visuvasam, Miss. Virginia Baldwin, Mrs. R. Michael and currently Dr. Sujatha Ross Ph.D, as its Principals. The first matriculation batch rolled out of its portals in summer of 1991 with 23 students attending the board exam.

The Main Building of the school which once stood and now replaced by skidmore hall served as an orphanage during the british times. All students of the school used to have lunch served from this hall. The school has 4 house systems Baldwin House, Gilberts House, Jesudian House and Johnsons House. In 1995 the school upgraded to Hr. Sec School.
