Itwari railway station is a Terminal station under SECR in Nagpur. With 3 platforms and another 2 expected to be constructed by 2015, it is almost 6kms from Nagpur Central and is Terminal for around 5 MEMU locals, 4 passenger trains (all under SECR). 80 percent of the trains (except a few express trains) stop here for minimum 2 minutes. This station is mostly used by people who regularly travel for jobs to suburbs like Kamptee, Kanhan, Ramtek, Katol, Khapri, Buti Bori etc. Also within metro travellers wanting to go to Central, Ajni or coming from these locations. This station is also used by local traders from Itwari Markets to board express trains to important destinations like Mumbai and Kolkata.
