Sanger "S" on Mt Campbell

Similar to the Reedley "R", the "S" on Mt Campbell is seen by the local town of Sanger, CA., approximately 4 miles away

It is maintained by volunteers lugging paint up the hillside and painting large boulders white.

  • In 1987 we (SHS football team) carried 5 gallon buckets of paint and brought the S back to glory.
  • I drive by Mt. Campbell at least a couple times each week. The Reedley "R" is in good condition. However, the Sanger "S" unfortunately is not looking so good these days. Maybe some folks will get inspired to do a little upkeep on it. Perhaps the current football team may volunteer with a little persuasion.
