Purchased by Castle Vacation Parks in 2009. Clothing became mandatory in May 2011. It was subsequently renamed Fernbrook Resort.

The Four Seasons was founded in 1969 by Hans and Lisa Stein. It gained international attention with the tremendously successful Miss Nude World contests. In 1970, the first year the contest was held, twelve contestants vied for the title. The panel of distinguished judges included the famous Toronto radio and television broadcaster Gordon Sinclair. (making his own fashion statement in a fine kilt) Media coverage was so extensive that it preempted reports about Prime Minister Trudeau’s attendance at the reopening of the Welland Canal on the same weekend.

The Four Seasons featured the most elaborate resort amenities of any nudist club in Canada with its nightclub, gazebo, 3 bars, restaurant, snack bar, indoor pool and outdoor pool with a waterfall. The clubhouse also contained a gym, motel rooms, a sauna and whirlpool. The resort was particularly famous for its 8 ton platform that was lowered from the ceiling onto the swimming pool to create a dance floor.

  • not a joke...
  • This area is amazing
  • The Four Seasons closed as a nudist place in May 2011. It is now called Fernbrook and it is just a regular campground.
  • We were shocked and saddened that this place closed down as a naturalist resort. We both had some very fond and good memories there. We were going to make plans on staying a couple of weekends this summer of 2012 but now have to change plans and instead go south on Hwy.#6 instead. OH well !!!!!
  • When I was in my 20's I visited The Four Seasons Nature park when I was working at Dofasco. I wasn't into nudism yet but soon it became a lifestyle I have followed through Europe, Brazil, Mexico and other countries where natural doesn't have to mean something derogatory. I met many wonderful people there and would spend most of my time with other naturists. The swimming quarry was great and Emerald Lake was just down the road. The owners were always very kind and giving. I remember once staying in their bungalow because the storm that was coming would have blown my tent away...Great times, great people and a wonderful way to while the summer days away naked...
  • I was a judge at one of the contests!
