This is a 156 MW low-sulfur coal fired power station. The station currently operates 2 units, units 3 and 4, that output 45 MW and 111 MW respectively. It previously operated units 1 and 2, each outputting 45 MW, but these were voluntarily shutdown as part of the Denver Metro Emissions Reduction Plan. This station is being shutdown, along with Cameo Station East of Grand Junction, CO, as part of a plan to reduce carbon output by 20 percent is therefor effectively being replaced by a solar generating facility as well as a new wind farm.
