Held June 1-October 16, 1909, to promote the Pacific Northwest. Was placed on the forested, mostly undeveloped University of Washington campus. The exposition grounds were designed by the Olmstead Brothers, famous landscape architects, and their design became the core layout for the University. Several buildings built for the exposition were intended to be subsequently used by the University, but only two significant ones remain: Architecture Hall, which was the exposition's Fine Arts Palace, and Cunningham Hall, the fair's Women's Building (which has been moved to its current location from its original location southeast of Architecture Hall). A walking tour of the exhibition grounds (and the source of the boundaries shown here) is available at: depts.washington.edu/aypwalk/index.php
