Built in the 18th century(replacing an older building), second floor was raised in the second half of the 19th century, also the entire facade was modified.
It is an elegant building, the ground floor having arches with two putti that flank a wide arch key.
Several stores functioned on the ground floor starting with the 19th century, like the Vogelsang textile factory showroom from 1880, a furniture store till 1910, after, a clothing store. After First World War, Turul shoe store opens here followed by Dermata store till 1942 when Cartea Romaneasca book store is opened.
