Walnut Hills High School, opened in 1895, is a public college-preparatory high school serving students in grades seven through twelve. Newsweek named it the 57th best public high school in America in 2007, and U.S. News & World Report ranked it 36th in the nation in 2008. Their mascot is the eagle, and the sports teams are known as "The Eagles."
