Llampayec is a specialist in Northern Peruvian sweets with several locations here in Lima, as well as Chiclayo, and Lambayeque (where its state-of-the-art production faclities are located). Their line of products includes cookies, alfajores (a kind of cross between a cookie and a brownie) and others. Some of the basic ingredients popular in this type of Northern Peruvian dessert include milk, eggs, and camote (sweet potato) - but others will be added depending on the specific sweet (perhaps pineapple or yucca for example). Anyway their product line has been pretty successful, and is now sold in Europe, Asia and North America. If you have a sweet tooth you could order a cup of cappucino to go from Starbucks (one block north), pick up a box of sweets fromm Llampayec then find a quiet bench across the street in Parque Kennedy to enjoy your snack.
