Infrasound station IS24 is part of the International Monitoring System for detecting nuclear test explosions. Set up in March 2000, the station employs an irregularly spaced array of five sensing elements (H1-H5, with a minimum separation of ~1.4 km) to detect very low-frequency sound waves coming from all over the Pacific.
