There have been claims that this apartment at 3rd Avenue and 25th Street was the first apartment block built in Saskatoon. Frederick Webb, a contractor, arrived in the city in 1906, and took out his first permit for the L-shaped property in 1909. He also built the National Trust Building, the Union Bank Building, and a predecessor of Princess Alexandra School. He and his wife live in apartment 401. In 1924 a garage was added. After a fire in 1942, contractor J.H. LaRoche undertook repairs at a cost of $7,000. In 1947 the dwellings were altered and exterior stucco applied.
