Ramona Expressway exit (Perris, California)

This exit to Ramona Expressway from the southbound and northbound lanes of I-215 is chronically congested, to where cars wishing to use the RE backup onto the freeway main line. The ramps are only 2 lanes wide, 1 lane to turn left and one to turn right. The back up is worse exiting from SB I-215 because of the traffic light and only one lane to make that left. Expect to wait thru 2 or 3 cycles. 18 wheelers use this exit as well going to the distribution centers and have trouble negotiating the left turn. A safer and quicker alternative is to use Harley Knox Blvd, the exit before (southbound) ramona expressway.
