Originally built in 1942 as a windowless storage facility, Building 77 is now an active business and job creation hub – home to companies such as Nanette Lepore, Lafayette 148, Casual Films, Catbird Jewelry, Wazer, and the Brooklyn STEAM Center.

The north-facing exterior entrance was used as a filming location for S1E9 of the HBO reboot of "Gossip Girl".
