  • The Grand Lake is owned by a small chain, however, it is technically a multiplex. The area that was once the balcony of the theater, has been turned into a separate theater, and two smaller screens have been added to another part of the building giving the complex 4 screens in total.
  • A lot of us on both sides of the political fence wish the fanatic who runs the place would drop their paranoid political rants that frequently blight the marquee of this otherwise distinguished building. We get it...Oliver Stone can't touch you when it comes to conspiracy theories. You're nuts. It's as if you're dictating for your buddy Hugo down in Venezuela!
  • Great little theater, with a functioning Mighty Wurlitzer organ played before Friday and Saturday Evening shows in the main theater. As for the political marquee, he is kind of nuts, but it is nice to see someone really put themselves out there for what they believe. Then again, I am a sucker for local character.
  • Now they're saluting the longshoremen's union for their may day strike to protest the occupation of Iraq. Jeez, there's even whiney messages about the Obama administration. Focus on film and stop creating the visual distractions with these political rants! (or at least be less partial and say something about the stolen elections in Iran and the human rights violations going on there).
