Puthen Kovil Bhagavathy Temple is an ancient temple with about 700 years history.The main deity in this Temple is worshipped in two forms of Adiparashakthi-Sri Bhagavathy and Sri Bhadrakali with seperate temples for both.Other 'Prathistas' are Sri Ganapathi,Sri Ayyappan,Sri Hanuman,Sri Murugan,Navagrahas and Nagas.It has a huge Banyan tree on its eastern entry.Puthen Kovil Bhagavathy has been very kind to her Devotees and solves their problems in no time.Its unique in the sense that it does not consider any caste or creed here.The temple has an annual Aswathi Arat Mahotsawam(10 days) which includes 'Pongala' and 'Arat' on the last day(ASWATHY NAKSHATRAM-DEVI'S NAKSHATRAM).Its about 2km away from city centre.Phone Number:04712475580
