The Bow Tie Building (New York City, New York)

3-story commercial building completed in 1938 by possibly the Office of Thomas W. Lamb. Over the years this has had several large advertisements, originally for Wrigley's, then Bond Clothiers, and then Pepsi. The largest tenant here was the Criterion Theater, named after the later name of the Olympia Theater, the previous building here. For a period of 12 years, the movie house became two separate legitimate (stage) theaters until it was gutted for the flagship Toys R Us, which lasted from 2001 to 2016. Current tenants include Old Navy, McDonald's, RiseNY amusement park rise, and a Duane Reade pharmacy.
