335-foot, 27-story postmodern office building completed in 1984. Designed by I.M. Pei & Partners, it is clad in a curtain wall of dark-blue, almost black, glass. There is an entrance is near the south end of the west facade on the avenue, with glass doors recessed behind a white column that supports the floors above. To the right (south) a wall angles back out to the building line, containing a storefront; and to the left there is a shorter angled wall of white marble. The rest of the ground floor along the avenue has storefronts with two glass doors that are recessed and both flanked by angled glass walls. The main entrance is at the east end of the north facade on 59th Street, where the east end of the building is set far back and connects to the back of the office tower next door. There is an angled corner where the recessed areas begins. At the east end, the main entrance has a protruding revolving door and a set of traditional glass doors.

The narrow, recessed connecting section has two small, angled setbacks at the 4th floor. At the northwest corner, the top seven floors are chamfered at the corner. The southwest corner is also chamfered above the 3rd floor, and just north of the south end (at the south edge of the entrance on this facade), there is a vertical notch with angled sides extending up to the 7th floor. The ground floor is occupied by Daum & Haviland home goods store, M.Y. Safra Bank, and Bernaudaud chinaware.

One of the upper floors was used as a filming location for White Collar S01 E14 "Out of the Box" where Diana goes into Fowler's office to look through his computer. The Park Avenue streetscape is prominently featured in the background out of his window.
