Park of Pena

The Palace and Park of Pena were conceived and implemented as a whole. From the Palace, the visitor sees a blanket of trees that occupies over 200 hectares and that is the "Parque da Pena". There are has several paths and sidewalks, buildings with numerous gardens, bridges, caves, garden benches, arbors and fountains.
There are also small houses where they were staying guards and servants, greenhouses and nurseries with camellias, rhododendrons, roses, unusual and rare strains, and works of art such as sculpture of the warrior that one can see from the Palace.
The lakes near the exit to the Moorish Castle are equally picturesque and peaceful, surrounded by a huge tube of tree and ferns.
