pier, amusement park, boardwalk
Opened in 1957, this now-defunct amusement pier extends from the Wildwod Boardwalk towards the sea. It was known as an "oceanic wonderland." Containing such notable amusements as the log flume and Golden Nugget Mine Ride, it was destroyed by fire in the early 1990s.
By the mid-1990s, the pier reopened as Dinosaur Beach, containing dinosaur-themed rides for children; the Golden Nugget Mine Ride survived the fire and remained open until its own closure in 1998.
The pier is now owned by Moreys Piers(www.moreyspiers.com/) and is used largely as a storage facility; the amusement rides listed on the websites below are retired/removed.
