USA / New Jersey / West New York / Third Avenue, 919
 office building, skyscraper, Modern (architecture)

615-foot, 47-story modernist office building completed in 1971. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, it rises up as a large slab set back on three sides from a plaza. At the east end there is a 6-story low-rise wing that extends out farther towards the sidewalks at 55th and 56th Streets. All of the facades, including the low-rise wing, are clad in dark-grey steel and black-tinted glass in a grid of square windows above short lower panes.

There are double-height mechanical floors at the 12th & 35th floors with black metal vents. The wider north and south elevations have 24 bays of windows, while the east and west sides span 12 bays. The low-rise wing is four windows wide on 56th Street, and 12 bays wide on 55th Street, where the ground floor has two bays of loading docks and two entrances/exits to the underground parking garage. There are entrances to the lobby at the center of the north and south facades, with storefronts lining the west facade.

They are occupied by a Chase Bank branch, and Tufenkian Artisan Carpets.
